Our 22/23 Software Engineering batch kicked off our first meetup at the beautiful Peradeniya Botanical Garden. Surrounded by the vibrant flora, we enjoyed a day filled with laughter, bonding, and reconnecting with nature. The garden provided the perfect backdrop for team-building activities and fun games that brought everyone together. Walking among the towering palms, sharing stories, and capturing memories on camera, we created a connection that will last beyond our university years. This first meetup set the tone for many more exciting adventures to come!
For our second meetup, we took things to new heights—literally! We gathered at the iconic Colombo Lotus Tower, where the view from the top was simply breathtaking. Standing at Sri Lanka’s tallest structure, we enjoyed panoramic views of the city and the ocean beyond, a sight that left us in awe. We explored each level, took countless group photos, and even held a few friendly competitions to make the day even more memorable. Whether we were playing games or sharing meals, this experience brought our batch closer together. It was a day of fun, laughter, and unforgettable sights.
For our third meetup, we returned to Peradeniya Botanical Garden, and the experience was as magical as the first time! We revisited our favorite spots and played outdoor games that brought out everyone’s competitive spirit. This time, we hosted a few planned activities, including a team scavenger hunt that got everyone involved and energized. After a long day of games, laughter, and capturing scenic moments, we closed our final meetup with gratitude for the connections we’ve built over these gatherings. It was a fitting and heartwarming end to our series of meetups, leaving us excited for what the future holds.
